It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Joanne on Sunday, January 11, 2026 with her loving family by her side; at the age of 55 years, at St. Boniface Hospital.

I first met Joanne in the classes I taught in the Faculty of Human Ecology at the U of M, as she was working towards her degree. She was a bright kind, hard-working and positive attitude student. Over the years, our paths crossed at seminars and workshops. She was a delightful person, and it was a privilege to know her. Sincere sympathies to all those she loved.
